Return & Refund Policy – History’s Fragrance

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the official History’s Fragrance online store. The policy is drafted in accordance with Dutch law, including Articles 6:230o–6:230s of the Dutch Civil Code, and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.


1. Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)

  1. Consumers have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of receiving the product, without providing any reason.

  2. Once the withdrawal has been communicated, the consumer has an additional 14 days to return the product.

  3. To exercise the right of withdrawal, consumers must notify us in writing at:
    support@historysfragrance.com
    Please include your full name and order number.


2. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article 6:230p(e) of the Dutch Civil Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Opened or used perfumes or any fragrance products where the seal has been broken, due to hygiene regulations and the risk of diminished value.

  • Products that are no longer in their original condition or show signs of usage, damage, or alteration of scent.

Only unopened, unused, and fully sealed fragrance products are eligible for return.


3. Conditions for Returning Products

A return will only be accepted if the product meets all of the following conditions:

  • The product is unused, unopened, and fully sealed.

  • The product is returned in its original packaging, including protective materials, labels, and any luxury boxes or gift packaging.

  • No damage is present on the bottle or packaging.

History’s Fragrance reserves the right to deduct value depreciation or refuse the return if these conditions are not met.


4. Return Shipping Costs

  • All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the consumer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Unpaid or cash-on-delivery (COD) return shipments will not be accepted.


5. Refunds

  1. Once the returned product has been received and inspected, History’s Fragrance will refund the purchase amount within 14 days, using the same payment method used for the initial order.

  2. If only part of the order is returned, the original shipping costs will not be refunded.

  3. If the returned product shows signs of use, damage, or reduced value, a deduction may be applied, in accordance with Article 6:230s(3) of the Dutch Civil Code.


6. Exchanges

Exchanges are permitted under the following conditions:

  • The original product is unopened and sealed.

  • The request for an exchange is submitted within 14 days of receiving the product.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Products

If a product is delivered damaged or incorrect, consumers must report this within 48 hours of delivery by contacting:
support@historysfragrance.com

Please include clear photos of the product and packaging.
After review, History’s Fragrance will either replace the product at no cost or issue a full refund.


8. Lost or Undelivered Shipments

If a shipment does not arrive, History’s Fragrance will initiate an investigation with the carrier.
If the shipment is declared lost, the consumer will receive a replacement shipment or a full refund at no additional cost.
